pin it button (pinterest) does nothing when you click the red “pin it” button

 

Bad:

So turns out that if you embed the “pin it” button on a website, but *don’t* specify an image, pinterest happily pulls up a preview window for it–then doesn’t let you pin it–instead, the pin it button goes grey, with a red outline, and nothing happens–no error message is displayed.

Fix: always include some image in the pin it snipp

good (has the “media” specifier)
